Glam Slam: First Family Fashion Statements

January 22, 2013

Ravishing and regal in red!

First Lady Michelle Obama stole the show last night…once again…wearing Jason Wu…once again.

Back in 2009, she stunned in a flawless white gown at the Inaugural Ball and last night she hit the Jason Wu jackpot again. Her dramatic red halter-style gown, which she paired with Jimmy Choo heels (and her new ‘do!), was elegant and classic.

The chiffon and velvet gown was custom-made for the First Lady and showed off her toned shoulders and arms beautifully. Gorgeous!

It’s been a whirlwind week for the First Family as they’ve celebrated Inaugural festivities for several days now and they’ve looked utterly stylish every step along the way!

At the Inaugural Kids Concert on Saturday, the First Mom recycled an Alexander McQueen white tunic.

Sasha looked adorable in J.Crew’s Cashmere Square Dot cardigan, Harper boots, small crystal circle necklace and belt. While Malia wore a J.Crew Collection waffle sweater in green line and Iwona Ludyga Design jewelry.

On Inauguration Day yesterday, the family was perfectly color coordinated.

The First Lady wore a navy Thom Browne coat and dress, the fabric of which was based on the style of a man’s silk tie. Her belt and “Valentina” heels are J.Crew and her necklace is by Cathy Waterman.

Malia wore “a full J.Crew ensemble” including the Double-cloth Lady Coat in fresh plum. Sasha wore a purple kate spade new york “Patrice” coat and “Carolyn” color block dress with J.Crew Miro necklace.

I can’t imagine the pressure on the First Lady to deliver First Rate fashion choices for herself, let alone making sure her entire family looks good in the spotlight.

But she and her girls (and The President too!) all looked great…so stylish and polished.

Well done!
