Glam Slam: All Hail The Queen!

April 24, 2013

Does Queen Latifah look good here or what? The Covergirl beauty brought out the wow factor with dramatic eyes and flawless skin to host PBS's special "In Performance at the White House." Achieve her same gorgeous look, thanks to this beauty breakdown from her makeup maven.

WHO:
Makeup Artist Monifa Mortis

INSPIRATION:
"I wanted to focus on giving Queen a dramatic eye look to compliment her beautiful black and white gown."

HOW TO:
"To start, apply COVERGIRL Queen Collection All Day Stay Flawless 3-in-1 Foundation in Toffee (Q820) all over the face. Apply a pale pink blush on the apples of the cheeks and then apply bronzer around the forehead and jaw line. I recommend using Cheekers Blush in Plumberry Glow (140) and Queen Collection Natural Hue Bronzer in Brown Bronze (Q110).

For the eyes, apply Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Shimmering Onyx (440) all over the lid and then apply Eye Enhancers 1-Kit Shadow in Pink Chiffon (540) on the brow bone to highlight. From there blend the two shadows together to create a smoky effect. Then apply Queen Collection Vivid Impact Eyeliner in Midnight (300) to the top and bottom of the eyes. Finish the eye by coating lashes with Clump Crusher by LashBlast Mascara in Very Black (800).

For lips start by applying LipPerfection Jumbo Gloss Balm in Blush Twist (210) for layer of sheer color and then use LipPerfection Lipliner in Smoky (205) to complete the lip look."
