Most people won't admit they need a makeover, and men are no different.
When men hear the word "makeover," skinny jeans and tight sweaters pop into their mind — a haunting vision, no doubt. However, makeovers can be made from the neck up, with nothing but a great haircut and some sexy scruff.
Glam Slam chatted with Jason Schneidman, celebrity hairstylist at the Chris McMillan Salon in Beverly Hills and Dove Men+Care product expert, about tips to help your man with a hair makeover.
Any great makeover starts with a haircut.
It can make you look years younger and update your entire style. Make sure your man is getting the best cut to flatter his features. He should tell his hairstylist to consider his "hair texture, face shape, job, and even personality" to find an appropriate cut. To keep your man's hair in top shape, Jason recommends Dove Men+Care Fresh Clean 2-in-1 Shampoo + Conditioner.
Facial hair is another way to update your man's look, since it's very trendy right now.
Scruff or a beard can look amazing on your man, but be sure to "maintain the scruff by trimming with a #1 or #2 clippers as needed," according to Jason. "And make sure you have 10 days of growth, or more, to achieve this look."
An especially handsome combination Jason gave to Hugh Jackman was a "barbered, classic cut with a little bit of scruff. It fits my motto of 'effortless cool,'" Jason adds.
