Will There Be Anything to Laugh at in 2014?

2014's comedy movies include a sprinkling of sequels - Horrible Bosses 2, A Haunted House 2, Muppets Most Wanted, Dumb and Dumber To, 22 Jump Street, and Night at the Museum 3 - as well as the relaunch of the Ninja Turtles franchise, a revamped version of the musical Annie, and the reunion of Drew Barrymore and Adam Sandler. 2014 will also be seeing a TV favorite head to the big screen (Kristen Bell in Veronica Mars) and a bunch of fairy tale characters together in a movie musical featuring Johnny Depp, Meryl Streep, and Emily Blunt. Hollywood Just Isn't Making Romantic Comedies

What's up with romantic comedies? Hollywood just isn't turning them out like they used to, even though there's still a market for romcoms. Is the problem that there just aren't any dependable box office draws working in the genre any longer now that Sandra Bullock, Julia Roberts, and Meg Ryan have moved on, or has Hollywood simply given up on funny love stories?
